Lodge Sub-Vice Chief
of Ceremonies (Elected Position)
Duties and Responsibilities
Reports to Lodge Vice Chief of Programs.
Works closely with the Lodge Ceremonies Advisor, seeking advice and training. He does not wait for his advisor to call, but calls the advisor often.
Oversees ceremony teams composed of all youth Arrowmen wishing to participate and serve.
Encourages Chapters to form a Ceremonies Team to help support the Lodge Ceremonies Program.
Responsible for recruiting and training all ceremony teams.
Responsible to coordinate OA Rededication Ceremonies & Call Outs at Summer Camp.
Responsible to make sure the Lodge is represented at all ceremony competitions.
Responsible to make sure ceremony teams are available for other council activities (Arrow of Light Ceremonies, Cross-Over Ceremonies).
Maintains ceremony regalia and makes recommendations for new purchases as needed.
Reminds Ceremony Team members to attend meetings.
Serves as an example of the ideals of the BSA and the Order of the Arrow.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Lodge Vice Chief of Programs.
