Sub-Vice Chief of Dance & Drum (Elected Position)
Duties
and Responsibilities
Reports to Lodge Vice Chief
of Programs.
Works closely with the Lodge
Dance and Drum Advisor, seeking advice and training. He does not wait
for his advisor to call, but calls the advisor often.
Oversees dance & drum
teams composed of all youth Arrowmen wishing to participate and serve.
Encourages Chapters to form
a dance and or drum team to help support the Lodge Dance & Drum
Program.
Responsible for recruiting
and training all dance and drum teams.
Responsible to make sure
the Lodge is represented at all dance & drum competitions.
Responsible to make sure
dance and drum teams are available for other council activities (Scout
Expo, Mountain Man Rendezvous).
Maintains dance & drum
regalia and equipment. Makes recommendations for new purchases as needed.
Reminds Dance & Drum
Team members to attend meetings.
Serves as an example of
the ideals of the BSA and the Order of the Arrow.
Performs other duties as
assigned by the Lodge Vice Chief of Programs.
