Lodge Secretary (Elected Position)

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Reports to Lodge Vice Chief of Administration.
  • Works closely with the Lodge Secretary Advisor, seeking advice and training. He does not wait for his advisor to call, but calls the advisor often.
  • Assists the Lodge in communications with members of the Lodge.
  • Responsible to distribute and collect attendance records at Lodge funtions.
  • Takes the minutes at each LEC and publishes for next LEC.
  • Maintains a binder containing all publications produced over term of office for lodge record.
  • Responsible to make sure Chapter programs give complete support to lodge.
  • Oversees distribution of newsletters and other Lodge publications.
  • Writes a letter to each inactive Arrowman informing them of their inactive status at the first of February.
  • Reminds Chapter Chiefs to attend Lodge meetings.
  • Serves as an example of the ideals of the BSA and the Order of the Arrow.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Lodge Vice Chief of Administration.
