Lodge Vice Chief of Promotions (Elected Position)

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Reports to Lodge Chief.
  • Works closely with the Lodge Associate Advisor, seeking advice and training. He does not wait for his advisor to call, but calls the advisor often.
  • Assists the Lodge Chief, as directed, to carry out program operations of the Lodge.
  • Oversees Program Lodge Officers (Sub-VC of Service and Activities, Sub-VC of Visitations and Promotions, Sub-VC of Ceremonies, Sub-VC of Dance and Drum & Brotherhood Chairman)
  • Oversees Elangomat recruiting & training.
  • Oversees program committees through the Lodge Sub-VC of Service and Activities (Banquette, Ordeal, Scout Expo, Mountain Man Rendezvous & Fellowships).
  • Reminds Program Lodge Officers to attend meetings.
  • Serves as an example of the ideals of the BSA and the Order of the Arrow.
  • Assumes the responsibilities of the Lodge Chief in his absence.
  • Attends Council of Chiefs meeting if appointed to do so by the Lodge Chief.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Lodge Chief.
